Winter Parking
Winter conditions can make parking at the library more difficult than usual, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Parking is available in the shared lot with Honeysuckle Roastery and in the Cove Insurance parking lot, which can be accessed through Unibank’s lot or from two driveway entrances near the Mobil station.
- Patrons visiting the Children’s Room are encouraged to use the shared church parking lot.
- Patrons visiting the Main Floor are encouraged to park in the Cove parking lot and use the walkway along the Cove Insurance building to wrap around to the library’s front entrance.
Please allow extra time when visiting during snowy or icy conditions. Your understanding helps keep everyone safe during the winter months — thank you!

Summer Hours: From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Library is open on Fridays from 9am-2pm and closed on Saturdays.
The Library is closed on all federal and state holidays.
Directions
The Uxbridge Free Public Library is located at the intersection of Rts. 16 and 122 on the historic Uxbridge Town Common.
From East: Take Mendon Street (Rt. 16) to the center of Uxbridge. At the intersection of Rts. 16 and 122, turn right and head north through the next traffic light. The Library is the first building on the right.
From West: Take Douglas Street (Rt. 16) to the center of Uxbridge. At the intersection of Rts. 16 and 122, turn left — the Library is the first building on the right.
From North and South (local): Follow Main Street (Rt. 122) to the center of Uxbridge. When you’ve reached the Town Common while heading south, the Library will be on your left. When heading north, head through two set of traffic lights at the intersection of Rts. 16 and 122 — the Library is the first building on the right.
From North and South (Worcester/Providence): From exit 6 on Rte. 146, follow Rt. 16 East to the center of Uxbridge. At the intersection of Rts. 16 and 122, turn left — the Library is the first building on the right.
Limited parking is available in the shared parking lot with the former Unitarian Church. To access this parking lot, enter through the driveway located between the Library and the former Unitarian Church. Additional parking is available in the Cove Insurance parking lot behind the building and on Court St adjacent to the Town Common.
